Surround myself with familiar tools and keep workspace orderly. Owning a moving parts mechanical machine definitely made my workspace clean. Cats out! during printing.
I use nail filer as sand paper for tiny model and IKEA organizer with a hole on the lid for drop-on-the-floor spool feeder. It works very well and keeps cat hair away.
I catalogue each pieces with printing setup details written on it or on the small sealable bags so I can see print samples (mostly epic fail pieces). Also so keeping a shared project notebook informs me and EJ experiments and results we ran individually. Did you ever done journal exchange with your best friend when you were young?
