mochi topping

one of the japanese new year traditions is to display Kagami-Mochi and at the very top of the tiers daidai-orange (type of bitter orange) is placed.

my kagami-mochi is made out of plastic and I misplaced the plastic orange topping somehow… so here is my solution while my 3d printer got a good tune up and a PLA spool was already loaded 🙂 inspired by a fox from the dam keeper short (it’s a year of Money… but I wanted something orange).

printer setting in Cura was “Normal” and I gave printing speed of 20 (default 50) so it’ll take time to print. less than 70 mins to print a piece this size and an hour to paint. came out very cute!
