final touch

Painting my big plastic figure at last. When I was holding thin brushes and painting details, I went back to my childhood memories of putting paints on plastic models. I started building models from Star Blazers Yamato, Galaxy Express 999 and 1st generation Gundam ever since I was able to understand how to follow instructions. My older brother is an amazing train model maker and that must be the reason why I was attached to building models instead of Barbies.

By now I’ve done many wall painting for house and I follow painting dept. guys saying “good priming is the key to the best result”, so naturally I gave good sanding and flawless priming to the pieces. I really don’t like the smell of petroleum based paint so I decided to use acrylic. I used masking tape for rough color partitions and the rest was free hand. It was my Zen moment… breath slowly and concentrate on every stokes (cause Halloween is in few days and I cannot make a mistake). Done! and somehow this RR still came out cute…
