this simulation test inspiration came form Chinese paper dragon decoration. same honeycomb construction from last one but i animated the first layer by attaching to the object.
i prepared the honeycomb paper pattern in MD. created a path animation with a simple target object. import to MD as fbx, pinned the first fabric piece to an imported fbx (use the piece as an avatar). simulate in MD, export the cloth animation and added a simple dragon head model in maya (avoid importing heavy geom avatar in MD if you are anim-simulating in MD).
