making basic sloper for a cg human is something i haven’t done before. i browse amazing japanese pattern making books called Pattern Magic whenever i have a spare time and practice in my head how to use those techniques in cg garments.
if you are a seamstress you probably made a basic sloper that fits you. i made mine at a basic draping class and learned the importance of perfect sloper. once you have a good sloper pattern, you can make any design by manipulating it and it fits you. i wanted to make abstract garments in cg (taking a break from clothing cartoon characters) i spent my weekend making a basic sloper for a default avatar in MD.
i used the pattern called Bunka Style Sloper from the book and followed the instruction for faceted dress design.
