a printer

A 3D printer that is… Every time I spend my weekend looking for a perfect plastic nose piece or eyeballs for my plush, I felt like I was spending my time NOT creative. One day just realized that “I can 3D print my own parts!”. I know I’ve already over engineered my hobby by pre-vising in 3D and simulate… so I didn’t even question that I “need” a 3D printer.

However while I was still not 100% sure if I should do this, I attended MakerCon Bay Area where I got to meet and talk with people in independent toy industries to community of prosthetic makers . I started to see how my various skills can be combined and outputted not just as a piece of plastic but something more.

At the Maker Faire couple days later I got an Ultimaker2 and didn’t realized that a printer weigh 30lb… I knew nothing about 3D printing so I’ve started to read Make: 3D Printing: The Essential Guide to 3D Printers on the way back from the faire.
