Inspired by my friends’ short film The Dam Keeper.
When I was making a plush version of Pig I was exploring how I can make a mask part without going thru casting process since it’s going to be a small number of production. Before I commit to the large size mask, I wanted to see in smaller scale. Probably this the size I’ll be printing the most for little trinkets and plush parts. Good practice case.
Modeled in 3DCoat, MeshMixer for resolution adjustment, Cura custom normal quality print. 30mins printing time. However… I tried multiples prints and 3rd one, either the glue was totally dried up or my printing speed was too fast and got knocked by the nozzle, popped off from the contact surface.
Applied quick 2 layer acrylic painting.
I wasn’t sure if I like the normal quality print layer line but for brushed metal feel I kinda like it 🙂
