when i draft plush patterns in Marvelous Designer (MD), i do a lot of material parameter tweaking. by the time i sew them in real fabric at the end, i pick totally different materials so it doesn’t matter how it’s simulated in MD. however observing the shape changing during inflation is something very comical about it…

instead of making the stand-alone hippo pose, i chopped off the pattern and added a water line some is “standing in the water”. Making the “density” pram high anchors the materials from floating without rigid pinning when pressure is applied. then simulate and record the progress…
